Shadow Hills H.S. temporarily locked out

Shadow Hills High School in Indio was temporarily locked out Wednesday around 8:15 a.m.

According to Ben Guitron with the Indio Police Department, officers got a call from staff members about suspicious activity in the boys bathroom.

One student notified staff about another student acting strange in the bathroom stall and as a precautionary measure the school was placed on a lock out, meaning nobody was allowed to leave the building and students were required to stay in their classrooms.

Indio police checked with the student in question and found nothing, Guitron said.

The school is now operating normally.
