Detectives seek information after man’s suspicious death

A 78-year-old man was found dead on January, 9, in a Cathedral City gated community. Police said his death was suspicious and they’re trying to figure out background information to help with their investigation.

David John Zuniga’s body was found at a home in the Rio Del Sol Estates, located in the 69000 block of Las Camelias Road. Following the preliminary investigation, police are focusing on developing background information on the victim.

According to Cathedral City police, investigators are asking for the public’s help to determine what Zuniga was doing and where he was during the week leading up to his death.

They hope the background information will help them clarify some of the details of their investigation.
