A woman accused of allowing her 2-year-old granddaughter to drink a cup of tea laced with methamphetamine was charged Wednesday with child endangerment and possession of illegal drugs.

Cynthia Ann Watson, 51, was arrested Monday after Riverside County sheriff’s deputies learned her grandchild was in distressed health from consuming meth.

Watson, who is jailed on $35,000 bail, is slated to make her initial court appearance Wednesday afternoon at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta.
