Olympic figure skaters put on a show

In this hot weather, what better way to cool off then hitting the ice rink.

Cathedral City’s Desert Ice Castle, the international training center for competitive US and international figure skaters, hosted a hot summer ice show Saturday.

The showcase served as a fundraiser for the future champions program and the high school hockey team.

It was the first summer ice show for the rink and featured an impressive line- up of skaters.

“We have three Olympians two of them are present Olympians from Germany and from Belgium and we have a number of National Champions,” said Caroline Liu.

Theses top tier skaters also train at the rink.
