Human remains found in the high desert

Human remains found by the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department in the high desert, are not related to the search for Erin Corwin, the missing pregnant marine wife. Authorities found the remains in open desert near Newberry Springs.

The location isn’t far from the Twentynine Palms Marine Base.

Officials say the remains have been there more than a year. The remains were found yesterday just before 5:45. A passerby who saw the remains contacted police.
