6 out of their home after dryer fire ignites in Palm Desert

A dryer fire in Palm Desert displaced three adults and three children Wednesday morning, a county fire department spokeswoman said.

The fire in the 45900 block of Quailbrush Avenue was reported at 7:10
a.m., Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Fuhrman said. Firefighters doused the blaze in about 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported. Damage to the garage and home was estimated
at $75,000, Fuhrman said.

News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 were at the scene Wednesday morning. Two 1-week-old Pomeranian poodle puppies were in the home at the time of the fire as well, and they too are doing fine.
