Man killed in Bob Hope accident ID’d

Police have identified the man who was killed in a crash in Rancho Mirage.

The Riverside County Coroner has identified the man as 42 year old Ricardo Jimenez.

Jimenez was driving a Jeep Sunday afternoon at Bob Hope Drive and Dinah Shore Drive that jumped the median, flying over another car before landing.

Police say the Indio man was thrown from the Jeep.

The other driver in the crash suffered minor injuries. Police say alcohol may have played a factor in the crash.
