Solar project stalled at Palm Desert High School

Palm Desert High School’s parking lots are going solar. The installation project started this summer and was supposed to be completed by the first day of school, August 28th. Due to a delivery mishap, the project was delayed and now, the first phase of the installation is expected to be finished a couple of weeks after the school year begins. The staff parking lot will still have parking available, but one hundred student parking spots will be blocked off due to construction. Students are being asked to park on the south-side of campus on Fred Smith and on the west-side on Phyllis Jackson. Student drop-off zones won’t be affected.
