New state-of-the-art Jaguar showroom breaks ground in Rancho Mirage
Officials with indiGO Auto Group’s Desert European Motorcars announced that the dealership broke ground on its new state-of-the-art Jaguar Rancho Mirage showroom on Tuesday morning.
According to a release from Chairman and CEO Todd Blue, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at 10:00 am at the site of the new showroom located on the Desert European Motorcars campus at 71-387 Hwy. 111, Rancho Mirage, CA.
Here’s Tuesday morning’s press release sent to News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2:
During the event, Mr. Blue was pleased to address the community and the Desert European team with the new building plans. Several city officials were in attendance including Rancho Mirage Mayor Iris Smotrich, Rancho Mirage City Manager Randal Bynder, and several council members including Ted Weill, Dana Hobart, and Richard Kite. A reception followed the announcement.
The dealership’s present Jaguar showroom is located next to the Porsche, Aston Martin and Maserati showrooms in the largest building on the 10-acre site. The new Jaguar showroom under construction will connect to the current Land Rover facility, bringing both automotive brands under one roof. Cobalt Development LLC (a Blue Ltd. Company) is managing the construction project with an estimated completion date of August 2015. “It will be the state-of-the art Jaguar/Land Rover building,” said Mr. Blue.
The new showroom will provide Jaguar customers with a more intimate, exclusive shopping and service experience. Mr. Blue said, “It will be the finest Jaguar/Land Rover customer experience (matching indiGO’s mission) to prioritize continuous improvement, honor the heritage of the brands we represent, always maintain a consciousness for uniqueness and authenticity, exceed customer expectations and embrace change so that we are able to activate customer ownership!”
During the ceremony, Mr. Blue expressed his gratitude to everyone who attended the ceremony and thanked everyone who has helped to make the new showroom possible. He said, “I would like to thank Mayor Iris Smotrich; Council Members Ted Weill, Dana Hobart, Richard Kite and Charles Townsend; City Manager Randy Bydner; the Rancho Mirage Community Association; Erik’s Furniture; the indiGO Auto Group team; the Desert European team for accommodating us during the construction; Jaguar/Land Rover North America; The Tata Group; and Comerica Bank. Most importantly, I would like to thank our customers and friends who support us every day to make this the best luxury and performance shopping and ownership experience in Southern California, and maybe the United States of America.”
