Man identified in deadly Desert Hot Springs crash
A 29-year-old man who was killed after crashing his car on N. Indian Canyon Drive Thursday afternoon has been identified by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
Desert Hot Springs resident Marlon Mack died at the scene after losing control of his Toyota Camry just north of Thomas Drive around 12:25 p.m.
CHP said he was driving southbound at a high rate of speed and traveled onto the right shoulder of the road and lost control of his car when he overcorrected to the left.
His car ended up directly in front of a GMC pickup truck that was traveling northbound on Indian Canyon Drive, according to the CHP. The GMC was driven by 60-year-old Fausto Lopez of Desert Hot Springs.
