Louis Vuitton gives Palm Springs and a local business global spotlight

Louis Vuitton left Paris for Palm Springs to present its Cruise 2016 Resort Collection runway show at the Bob Hope Estate.

“Traditionally these shows are held in Paris last year was first year they went outside of Paris…last year Monaco…this year Palm Springs!”David Parker, co-founder of Body Deli, said.

When Louis Vuitton scouted the desert back in March, the company fell in love with not just our valley as their next destination – but also with the local line, Body Deli.

“What a way for a local company to get discovered!” Parker said. “All of our full size products are the only amenities in 500 of the rooms for all their top customers, media and celebrities. They had us do stationary with their logo on it.”

Louis Vuitton owns brands like Sephora and Dior, but chose a local product.

The local economy love doesn’t stop there – more than 3,000 hotel room nights got booked throughout the mid to west valley.

The fashion show is invitation only but we can all get a front row seat online! You can watch the show live at 6:15 at louisvuitton.com.
