Paris Hilton’s brother faces felony charges in I-10 crash
Conrad Hilton, the 21-year-old brother of Paris Hilton, turned himself into a Riverside County judge on Saturday in connection to a high-speed pursuit on I-10 that ended in a crash near Cathedral City in August of 2014.
Hilton was released from the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside after posting $100,000 bail on Saturday afternoon. A judge issued a warrant for his arrest on April 30.
The pursuit, which took place on the afternoon of Saturday, August 23, ended with Hilton slamming his 2013 BMW into a Volkswagen Beetle before crashing into the back of a big rig. The collision happened near the Date Palm Drive exit.
Emergency crews had to cut Hilton from the mangled BMW and he was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center with a broken hand.
The driver of the VW and big rig were both uninjured in the crash.
CHP Officer Stephanie Hamilton said earlier that day in Cherry Valley, a U.S. Forest Service park ranger tried to stop Hilton for speeding and passing on the right shoulder, but ended up losing him.

One man said he was passed by Hilton on I-10 and estimated the rate of speed in excess of 120 MPH. He was especially troubled by the behavior given the fact that his pregnant wife was in the car with him at the time.
Another viewer who witnessed the scene said Hilton was terrifying other drivers on the interstate by driving well over 100 MPH and driving in the dirt emergency lane.
Hilton is charged with a felony for evading police and reckless driving. He could face up to three years behind bars if convicted. He’s scheduled to appear at the Larson Justice Center in Indio on July 14, according to court officials.
Hilton also pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge in LA back in March after causing a disruption aboard a British Airways flight from London to LA on July 31 of 2014.
