Breast cancer lectures offered for free throughout October
Topics ranging from the benefits of exercise for breast cancer patients and survivors to sex, intimacy and breast cancer will be offered at Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center’s free community lectures throughout the month of October — recognized nationally as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Hospital officials said experts in various specialties including occupational therapy, plastic surgery, acupuncture, nutrition and more will provide important information and updates on topics that matter most to breast cancer patients and survivors.
“Eisenhower is proud to offer breast cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones our free community lectures,” said Alison Mayer Sachs, MSW, CSW, OSW-C, director, community outreach and cancer support services at Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center. “Being diagnosed with cancer, having a loved one diagnosed with cancer or having been through treatment can be daunting. These lectures provide the most up-to-dateinformation so patients andtheir familiescan make informed decisions about their healthand treatment options.”
