New Habit Burger set to open in Palm Desert

A new Habit Burger Grill will be opening in Palm Desert on May 11. The restaurant is located at 73393 Highway 111 at El Paseo Square.

This will be the second location in the Coachella Valley after opening in La Quinta last year. The Irvine-based restaurant is best known for its award-winning Charburgers, officials said in a release.

Fans of the restaurant will get a preview of the menu at a fundraising event on Monday, May 9 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., benefiting Palm Desert High School. The Habit will donate 100 percent of all proceeds to the school.

Officials said the Habit will also host four pre-opening events, each free to the first 200 guests. Free Burger Day will take place Saturday, May 7, beginning at 11:30 a.m. and again at 5 p.m. Guests will receive a Habit Charburger, fries and a soft drink.

Free Habit Day is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, May 9-10, at 11:30 a.m. Free Habit Day guests will enjoy a complimentary chargrilled meal from a preset menu. Guests will discover the Habit’s custom-built quality food is all made fresh to order.

Approximately 35 new jobs were created to staff the restaurant.
