Toddler rushed to hospital after dog attack in Palm Desert

A 5-year old girl is in the hospital after being bitten by a dog at a Valley resort on Friday.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, at 6am Friday morning, they got a call of a vicious dog on Willow Ridge in Desert Willow in Palm Desert.

When deputies arrived the found a 5-year old girl who had been bitten by a dog. The toddler was transported to a local hospital and transferred to Loma Linda Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

“Currently a man and woman are being detained, and the incident is still under investigation” says Deputy Armando Munoz, of the Riverside County Sheriff Department.

Riverside Animal Control was also called to the scene and have taken possession of the dog.
