Coachella Valley Animal Campus hosting adoption event

Eight-month-old Terrence, a terrier mix, is looking for his forever home, along with several other animals.

The Coachella Valley Animal Campus is hosting a special adoption event with Supervisor John J. Benoit and his wife, Sheryl, on September 9 and 10.

The Benoit Family will be sponsoring the first 50 pet adoptions of dogs and cats age 6 months and older, and any adoptions past the first 50 will be just $20. The supervisor and his wife are huge animal advocates and have adopted from the Coachella Valley Animal Campus. The couple is sponsoring this special event to help raise additional awareness about homeless pets in need.

The special promotion means the adopter is getting the pet for free, and the adoption still includes the pet’s spay or neuter surgery, if needed, a microchip and vaccinations. All adopters are responsible for a license fee, if the adopter lives within Riverside County’s coverage area. A dog license is $17 in Riverside County.

The Coachella Valley Animal Campus can be reached 760-343-3644 and is located at 72050 Petland Pl. in Thousand Palms.
