Storm to bring rain and snow to Riverside county
The storm system the First Alert Weather Team has been tracking all week is finally approaching the Southland.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the San Bernardino Mountains, above 5,000', beginning at 10:00 p.m.
Snow accumulation could reach one foot for elevations above 7,000'.
The Coachella Valley's first round of rain will arrive Monday morning providing a cool and damp day for those out and about for last-minute shopping trips.
As the front moves through, not only is it bringing wet weather to the desert, it will also bring cooler temperatures below the seasonal average.
Round two of rain will arrive Wednesday afternoon and stick with the desert through Thursday.
