Streak of rising gas prices ends at 35 days
A 35-day streak of increases that boosted the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire to its highest amount since Jan. 12, 2016, ended today when it was unchanged, remaining at $2.998.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties rose 19.8 cents during the streak, including one-tenth of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 1.9 cents more than one week ago, 14.4 cents higher than one month ago and 50.3 cents greater than one year ago.
