“Walk for Kids” fundraiser kicks off this Saturday in La Quinta

The 3rd Annual Coachella Valley “Walk for Kids” benefiting the Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House kicks off this Saturday in La Quinta.

The fundraiser will start at 8:00 a.m. at the Civic Center Park in La Quinta. Registration for adults is $25 dollars and kids can join the fun for free.

The Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House provides a “home away from home” to families while their children receive medical treatment at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and other nearby hospitals. Each night the Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House provides comfort, care, and support for up to 54 families who are facing the most difficult time in their lives.

100% of the proceeds raised at the Walk for Kids will help fund the mission of the Ronald McDonald House and keep families close to their seriously ill and injured children during treatment.

More 40% of the families who use it are from our very own desert.
