Family says missing Palm Springs man is back home safe

Update: The man reported missing in south Palm Springs on Friday has returned home safely, his sister told KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 Monday afternoon. We received the message from the man’s family at about 12:45 p.m.

His family was asking for the public’s help over the weekend.

Family members say 38-year-old Tony Tutunjian was last seen Friday at about 4:30 p.m. in south Palm Springs. He is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, and Caucasian with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was reportedly last seen wearing red sneakers and aviator-style sunglasses with colored lenses.

A sergeant with the Palm Springs Police Department said he was last seen driving away in a black, 2004 Cadillac CTS with a black canvas top. The vehicle license plate is 5SBP801.
