Winds, Overturn Truck Closes Gene Autry
CHP officers have closed Gene Autry Trail south of Interstate 10 due to high wind gusts Wednesday morning.
The high winds have already done some damage after a big rig truck rolled over on Gene Autry.
There’s no word when it will be re-opened.
A wind advisory has also been issued today for the Coachella Valley and the surrounding mountains from 11 a.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday.
Forecasters are predicting 25 to 35 mph winds with guests of up to 45 mph.
