Border Patrol Snags 500 Pounds Of Marijuana
NILAND, Calif. – Border patrol agents in Indio seized a hidden stash of marijuana worth $400,000 on Wednesday.
The pot was hidden in hollowed out compartments in a white box truck that had entered the Indio checkpoint on Highway 111.
A canine search alerted authorities to something suspicious, where agents found the 80 marijuana bundles hidden, weighing 500 pounds.
