Christmas Decorations Stolen From Rehab Center
INDIO – Unfortunately,crime doesn’t take a break during the holidays.
Twogrinches struck at the ABC Recovery Center in Indo.Surveillance video shows 2 men the morning of December 8th carrying knives and trespassing onto the campus of the recovery center.
They swiped a 5 foot Santa and a snowman in front of the administration building. The Santa Claus had been part of the center’s decorations for more than a decade.
“It may notsound like a big expense, but they took from us. They took somethingfrom us and the members of the community and that’s not right. Don’t care if its Christmas or any other time. They need to be apprehendedand bring back my Santa,”said Linda Vivian who is the Recovery Center’s Office Manager.
The Indio Police Department tells News Channel 3 thatthey’re looking into the theft and says it’s not very common. The ABC Recovery Center treats people for alcohol and drug addiction.
