Alan Seman Resigns From Rancho Mirage Council
RANCHO MIRAGE – Rancho Mirage Mayor Pro-Rem Alan Seman has resigned his position as he continues tobattle Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Heresigned during last night’s council meeting saying it was for health reasons. The council will decide on how to fill his seat at their next meeting which is scheduled for January 7th.
In his resignation letter, Seman says the treaments make if very difficult for treatments devote the time and energy he need to his office.
Seman has been serving on the Rancho Mirage City Council since 1989.
He was mayor from 1992 to 1993 and was re-elected to the position for 2000 and 2001.
Seman is a New York native who came to Rancho Mirage with his wife to retire.
