Neighbors can’t believe it.
“Terrible I mean they have security going on around here at night so they shouldn’t happen in the gated community,” says resident Ann Karlsson.
One couple, who didn’t want to be identified, had someone break into their yard a few weeks.
“So I closed the gate and then I noticed the thermometer was gone which is incidental it’s just idea that someone was in our backyard in the middle of the night.”
Deputies say even though it’s common sense, always lock your door.
Make sure you leave a light on at night.
If electricity is a concern, use motion sensors.
“Even if these motion sensors kick in for one minute is very nominal in the long run compared to what you could save in the long run getting broken into and having your valuables taken,” says Martin.
