Walter Clark High School Video Contest Rules
HIGH SCHOOL VIDEO CONTEST
KESQ, KDFX, KCWQ & KUNA-TV (The Stations) in conjunction with the Walter Clark Legal Group (WCLG) will initiate the High School Video Contest (Contest) starting February 15 and ending April 9, 2010.
High School students/viewers will be invited to submit a 30 second video/PSA exploring issues affecting high school students in general. Topics include; teen sex, depression, texting while driving, dating violence, bullying in any form (internet, social, sexual, sports, etc). Students will define the issue illustrating its negative impact, and ways to address the issue on an individual, community or a society basis.
The 30 second videos will be judged on the student’s ability to analyze and discuss the topics as well as produce a quality 30 second message.
Each 30 second video must be no more than 30 seconds in length.
The 30 second video must be produced in DVD format.
Please submit the 30 second video in a DVD format directly to the Walter Clark Legal Group, Attn. PSA Contest, office at 74-075 El Paseo, Suite A-5 Palm Desert, CA. 92260. Videos/DVD may be hand delivered or mailed. All 30 second video/DVD entries must be submitted no later than April 9, 2010 along with an entry form.
The High School Video Contest will be promoted over KESQ, KDFX, KCWQ, KESQ.COM and KUNA-TV from February 15 through March 30, 2010. Promotional spots will give the viewers information regarding the Contest and how to enter the Contest. Viewers will be informed via the promotional spots to go to KESQ.COM to enter the contest and download the entry forms. Entry forms must accompany the 30 second video/DVD.
The grand prize winner, second place and third place winners will be notified by WCLG on April 27, 2010 via telephone and registered mail. The winners will be posted on the KESQ.COM website and the WCLG website. Prizes will be awarded at a location and time to be determined.
Winners will be selected by a panel of judges. The First Prize winning 30 second video/PSA will be aired over KESQ, KDFX, KCWQ and KUNA-TV.
Prizes: The Grand prize is a $2,000.00 cash scholarship, Second place prize is a $1,000.00 cash scholarship and third place prize is a $500.00 cash scholarship.
Rules:
1. One entry per person. 2. Registrants must down load entry/registration forms from KESQ.com. Entry forms must accompany the 30 second video/DVD. The 30 second video/DVD must be delivered or mailed to WCLG 74-075 El Paseo Drive, Suite A-5, Palm Desert 92260 no later than April 9, 2010. Entry forms will also be available at KESQ studios, 42-650 Melanie Place, Palm Desert CA 92260 and WCLG offices 74-075 El Paseo, Suite A-5, Palm Desert, CA 92260. 3. Entrant must be a high school student enrolled in a high school in the Coachella Valley, or the high desert, to participate in the Contest. 4. All decisions of judges are final. 5. Void where prohibited by law. 6. Employees and the immediate families of WCLG, Gulf California Broadcast Company/News Press Corp., Asher & Asher Consulting LLC are not eligible to participate in the Contest. 7. By participating in the Contest winners will give their consent to give their likeness for promotional purposes. 8. Deadline for all entrants is Friday, April 9, 2010. 9. Notification for the grand prize winner, second place and third place winners will be Tuesday, April 27, 2010. 10. Contest rules and regulations will be posted on KESQ.COM, WCLG website (www.walterclark.com), the studios of KESQ TV 42-650 Melanie Place, Palm Desert, CA.and WCLG 74-075 El Paseo, Suite A-5, Palm Desert, CA. 92260. 11. The prizes will be provided by WCLG. 12. Winners of all prizes are responsible for all applicable taxes.
