Police Nab Suspected WalMart Robber

A Riverside man wanted for a string of robberies at Walmart Stores throughout Riverside County was behind bars today.

Raul Roy Trujillo, Jr. was arrested without incident after arriving at the Banning Superior Court accompanied by his attorney. He was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional facility in Banning on charges of robbery, kidnapping to commit robbery and burglary.

Trujillo is a suspect in the December 2009 burglary of a Corona Walmart store and the October robbery of a Palm Desert Walmart. Bail was set at $1 million.

The Beaumont Police Department reported that the investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information to contact the Detective Bureau at (951) 769-8500.
