Loma Linda Doctor Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Patients

A doctor who worked part-time for one of Loma Linda Medical Center’s urgent care facilities faces felony charges after two female patients claimed he sexually assaulted both of them over a 24-hour period.

Dr. Ramon Fakhoury faces eight charges connected to the crimes, which allegedly happened during exams at the urgent care clinic located on the hospital’s east campus.

In July, a 32-year-old woman was the first to report Fakhoury attacked her when she said she went to the clinic complaining of chest pains.

During an internal investigation, hospital officials discovered another alleged attack. A 68-year-old woman told her doctor about the assault she said happened during exam she had with Fakhoury.

That attack happened within 24 hours of the first woman’s incident.

San Bernardino County sheriff’s investigators arrested Fakhoury after he turned himself in on Tuesday, leveling eight felony charges against him, including forcible acts of sexual penetration, sexual battery and crimes against an elder adult.

His bail has been set at $1,000,000.

Fakhoury had a license to practice medicine for six years in the states of California and Ohio.

Detectives located records that indicated he had medical offices in Rancho Cucamonga and Norco.

The State Medical Board is conducting a separate investigation.

Iinvestigators said they believe there may be additional victims, and they urged anyone with information to contact Detective Mark Hubbard or Detective Ken Green at 909-387-3545.
