10 Year Old Girl Killed In Blythe Traffic Accident

(CNS) – A 10-year-old girl was killed in a crash in Blythe, county fire officials announced today.

The crash was reported at 6:54 p.m. on De Frain Boulevard, north of Seeley Avenue, said Cheri Patterson of the Riverside County Fire Department. “Upon arrival of the incident firefighters located a 10-year-old female who had been ejected from the vehicle,” Patterson said. “She was pronounced dead at the scene.”

The child’s mother and 12-year-old sister were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, Patterson said, and their 5-year-old brother sustained minor injuries as well. The boy was airlifted to Desert Hospital.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation today.
