Alaska Airlines Now Jetting From Palm Springs to San Jose

Alaska Airlines will start daily, nonstop seasonal service between Palm Springs and San Jose on Feb. 17 via its sister carrier, Horizon Air, the airline announced today.

The flights will continue through June 2, according to Alaska Airlines.

The route, with one flight arriving and departing Palm Springs daily, will be operated by Alaska’s sister carrier, Horizon Air. Bombardier Q400 aircraft will be used.

The Palm Springs-San Jose route will originate in Portland, Ore.

To introduce the route, Alaska is offering $89 one-way fares between San Jose and Palm Springs. Tickets must be purchased by Oct. 18, 2011, and can be used through May 23, according to Alaska Airlines.
