1 Killed, 1 Critical In Crash On Interstate 10
The California Highway Patrol and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection confirm one death after an accident involving two vehicles on the westbound side of Interstate 10 Thursday morning.
The accident happened around 10:20 a.m. just east of the Whitewater Road exit .
When Cal Fire personnel arrived, they said they found a mini van on its side on the right shoulder of the freeway with two people inside. Both were cut from the wreckage, but one of them didn’t survive the accident, Cal Fire officials said.
The condition of the driver of a white Chevrolet truck, which was also involved int he accident, was not known.
The names of the victims have not been released.
