Eye Clinic Gives New Vision To Many

Dozens of people in Desert Hot Springs are seeing a little more clearly. The Eye Clinic and First Baptist Church teamed up Saturday to offer free services to the community. People went in to get vision screenings, glaucoma testing, and glasses.

“This is a very under-served area. Things as simple as eyeglasses make a big difference. For kids who are in school and can’t see, it’s the difference of being able to complete their homework, even the opportunity of jobs,” the Pastor’s wife, Pat McMicheax, said.

More than a hundred people were helped out with their vision. It was the third free eye clinic the church has offered.
