Man Dies After Assault In Coachella
Detectives began Monday investigating the death of a man found injured after an assault on Sunday evening, authorities said.
Coachella police officers were dispatched to the 85000 block of Hill Drive at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in response to reports of an assault, said Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Jim Erickson. The victim was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, he said.
The victim’s name was not released, so authorities could contact his family. How he was injured was not immediately released.
