Police Search For Rancho Mirage Bank Robber

Police are searching for a man who allegedly held up a Chase Bank branch on the Rancho Mirage-Palm Desert border Wednesday afternoon.

The robbery happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. at the branch located inside the Albertsons grocery store at the intersection of Country Club Drive and Monterey Avenue, said Riverside County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Angel Ramos.

No one was injured, he said.

Late Wednesday, the department released a description of the man they’re looking for.

They describe him as 6 feet tall, thin build, wearing a tan-colored Fedora hat with a bandage over his nose with glasses. He was also wearing a dark-colored long-sleeved shirt, tan shorts and black shoes, Ramos said.

If you have any information on this crime, call police immediately.
