Desert Hot Springs Woman Battling Rare Tumor Passes Away

More than 2 years ago — Danita Tate had uterine cancer that spread to her skull. Doctors said the procedure to remove the tumor was too risky, so they tried radiation.

The tumor shrunk, before growing back.

Many doctors had the same prognosis, told her to stay home and gave her medication to make her last months as comfortable as possible.

Tate is survived by a young son.
