2 Women Robbed and Tied Up During Indio Home Invasion

Indio Police are looking for a man who robbed and tied up two women at an Indio apartment Thursday afternoon.

According to Indio Police Spokesman Ben Guitron, they got a call around 2:15 Thursday afternoon, that a suspect broke into an apartment at the Andorra Apartments on Aladdin Street and Avenue 46 in Indio.

Guitron says the male suspect knocked on the door, when opened, he forced his way in at gunpoint. He then tied the women up with plastic ties before escaping with the victims’ purses.

The two women then freed themselves, and went to the apartment manager’s office and called police. The women were not hurt says police. They searched the area for the suspect but was unable to locate him.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult about 20 years old, 5’8, 125 pounds, thin build, wearing a white baseball cap, glasses, white/gray long sleeve shirt, blue khaki style pants, armed with a handgun. If you saw anything, call police or 9-1-1.
