A New Era of Football In The Valley

The Desert Chiefs will soon bring a new era of Semi-Pro Football to the Coachella Valley.

“We are going to have a home field that’s being built off 44th and Golf Center Parkway. we can’t start until September, so that puts us off another year until 2014, but the guys are hungry they want to play,” said Owner Rosie Welmas.

The Chiefs are the newest team of the California Football Alliance League that includes teams from across Southern California and even Las Vegas.

The Chiefs will play a 10-game regular season that begins in august and runs through October. Playoffs begin in November and the Championship Game is November 16th.
