British hiker dies on Palm Springs trail
A man from the United Kingdom collapsed and died Saturday during a hike near the Palm Springs Art Museum, the coroner’s office reported.
The 55-year-old man has not been identified.
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office says he fell Saturday while hiking 300 yards up the Palm Springs Museum Trail west of the museum.
The victim was found at just after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Temperatures reached well into the 100s on Saturday.
No word if heat was a factor.
