Truck rolls over on I-10 after tire blowout

One man has been taken to the hospital with major injuries after a tire blew out on his truck around 9:30 this morning.

The truck was traveling down the eastbound side of Interstate 10 near the Washington St exit when the tire on his truck blew out. The blowout sent the truck into the center divider and flipped him onto the westbound side of the interstate.

*This incident is not related to the firefighter being struck near the Monterey on ramp at around the same time.
