Cathedral City school target of recent high-tech burglary

Cathedral City Police are investigating the break in and high-tech theft at another Palm Springs Unified School District school Saturday morning.

The burglary occurred presumably in broad daylight when District officials were alerted by alarm intrusion calls around 9:50 a.m. at Agua Caliente Elementary School 30-800 San Luis Rey Dr.

According to PSUSD Communications Manager, Join Boiko the thieves gained entry to the school by breaking the windows of three classrooms. Once inside the burglars made off with a bounty of high-tech instruments.

Boiko tell us, “Equipment stolen includes: three iPads, nine mini iPads, six LCD projectors and four laptop computers.”

Cathedral City Police ask if anyone has information regarding this crime to contact them (760) 770-0300.
