Firefighters respond to garage fire in Desert Hot Springs

Firefighters contained a noninjury fire to an attached garage at a home in Desert Hot Springs, a Riverside County Fire Department spokesman said Monday.

The flames at the home in the 67300 block of San Fidel Way were reported at 9:47 p.m. Sunday, said Riverside County Fire Department spokesman Mark Annas.

“The first arriving engine reported light smoke showing from an attached garage of a single family dwelling. Firefighters contained the fire shortly after arrival to a portion of the garage,” Annas said

There were no injuries and no one was displaced by the fire, he said.
