Brush fire extinguished in Palm Springs
A brush fire ignited near Gene Autry Trail and Highway 111 in Palm Springs.
Firefighters responded are were able to put the fire out quickly. The fire, that started shortly before 10 a.m., never grew large but smoke was visible behind Vons grocery store.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
Firefighters stayed on scene until about 11 a.m. to put out any remaining hotspots to insure the fire didn’t reignite.
The Palm Springs Fire Department, Cathedral City Fire Department and Palm Springs Police Department all responded to the scene.
