Teens arrested for robbing Rite Aid in Coachella

Two teenagers were arrested for robbing a Rite Aid in Coachella early Thursday morning.

The incident happened around 8 a.m. at the store located in the 51100 block of Harrison Street. according to Coachella police.

The suspects are 15 and 17 year-old Hispanic boys, according to Coachella police. Witnesses said they stole items from the store and when employees confronted them, one pulled out a pipe and the other threw a bottle at one of the workers.

The teens ran away from the store and were located by officers as they were leaving the area.

Investigators determined the boys were also involved in a similar robbery at the Food 4 Less in Coachella on March, 26.

The teens were arrested for both robberies and booked into Indio Juvenile Hall.
