Suspect in custody in La Quinta robbery

A 43 year old Indio man is in custody tonight in connection with a robbery on the 79000 block of Highway 111 in La Quinta. Police say Chad Andrew Shupp allegedly had a weapon and threatened a woman, demanding property from her.

During the follow-up investigation, Shupp was detained and taken to the Thermal Sheriff’s Station where he was interviewed. At the conclusion of the interview, Shupp was arrested and confined at the Riverside County jail in Indio for Robbery.
