Police search for hit & run suspect who injured 8-year-old child

Police are looking for a man accused in a hit and run crash that injured an 8-year-old child in Coachella on September 6.

According to police, 28-year-old Noel Cipriano Felix is suspected of fleeing the scene after crashing into a home in the 86000 block of Palmeras Circle. The child was sleeping in the residence and was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

According to the Coachella Police Department, they were called to the crash at 11:32 p.m. that night after a white Ford F150 collided with the home. Witnesses saw the driver take off after the crash.

Investigators determined Felix was driving the truck at the time of the crash, but they haven’t been able to find him, so they’re asking the public to be on the lookout.

He’s described as Hispanic, 5’8″, 160 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes.

A felony warrant has been issued for his arrest. Police believe he’s residing in Coachella or the North Shore area.
