Cathedral City Fire Prevention Week Celebration benefits firefighters

The Cathedral City Professional Firefighters Association will display fire engines and serve beer from local breweries at an event Sunday to launch National Fire Prevention Week.

The event will be held at 11 a.m. in conjunction with the city’s farmers market in Town Square on Avenida Lalo Guerrero.

Besides beer, attendees can peruse five food trucks and listen to live music provided by the Coachella Valley Art Scene. All proceeds from the beer garden will benefit the firefighters’ association.
