Brush fire burned in heavy brush near Mecca
Riverside County Firefighters put out a vegetation fire in Mecca. The first arriving unit advised of a small spot of heavy brush involved. The fire was contained to one acre.
The fire was first reported just before 1:00 Thursday afternoon. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but battalion chief Dan Talbot tells us he believes it was started for warming purposes.
No injuries reported.
