Police arrest 3 suspects accused of Palm Springs burglary

Two men and a woman were arrested midday Tuesday after a residential burglary was reported in the 800 block of Fair Circle in Palm Springs.

Officers were called to the home around 2 p.m. and determined it was burglarized. A witness told police that a black GMC utility vehicle with no license plates had just driven away from the area at a high rate of speed.

Shortly after, an officer with the Palm Springs Police Department spotted a vehicle matching the description on Chino Drive, near North Palm Canyon Drive, according to the release.

Additional officers were called to the scene.

Once stopped, two suspects ran from the vehicle but were quickly detained by police. One of the suspects remained in the vehicle and was also taken into custody.

The suspects were identified as 23-year-old Salvador Anguiano (no permanent address), 21-year-old Cassandra Milanovich of Palm Springs and Jose Avila, a 20-year-old resident of Shiner, Texas.

Investigators determined the three suspects were responsible for the residential burglary. They recovered stolen property from the burglary which included a loaded handgun.

All three suspects were booked into the Larry Smith Correctional Facility.

Alleged Violations:

Salvador Anguiano – Felony burglary, possession of stolen property, resisting/delaying an officer and felony parole violation.
Cassandra Milanovich – Felony burglary, resisting/delaying an officer and a felony probation violation.
Jose Avila – Felony burglary, felon in possession of a firearm and felon in possession of ammunition.
