Palm Springs man convicted in sexual abuse trial
A Palm Springs man was convicted Thursday of 7 charges including 3 counts of aggravated assault on a minor and lewd acts with a child under 14.
41-year old Jose Manuel Mercado faces up to 60 years in state prison. Sentencing is scheduled for February 20th.
The two 8-year old victims were being cared for at his wife’s daycare center.
Mercado was convicted in Riverside.
