Palm Springs City Councilman retires

Palm Springs City Councilman Rick Hutcheson is announcing he will not seek a 3rd term this fall.

Hutcheson released a statement Saturday that reads in part, “At the traditional age for retirement, I wish to spend more time with my family, and have more time to travel. I also plan to devote more time to philanthropic activities. In short, it’s a life stage decision.

Hutcheson has served on the Palm Springs City Council since 2007. A replacement will be elected this November.
